Wow, time flies. 6 months since my last post and yes, I've been busy. To sum up, I finished out the Arden season with ROBIN HOOD, TULIPOMANIA: THE MUSICAL and WOMEN IN JEP. Some pics (all courtesy of photographer Mark Garvin and the Arden Theatre website unless otherwise noted) below:
ROBIN HOOD
A shot I took during tech. The set was an array of pipes around a jungle gym with a rubber mulch floor. It was a lot of fun for everyone!
Charlotte Ford as Maid Marion and Sean Lally as Robin Hood ride their invisible steeds
The Sheriff's guards (Carl Clemens-Hopkins and Steve Pacek) engage the Sheriff (Ian Merrill Peakes) and Maid Marion (Charlotte Ford) in their horse drawn cart.
All of the bows were hand made from carefully chosen branches with just the right curvature. The strings are elastic. No arrows were used in the bows in this production. Most of the time we asked our young audience to imagine the arrows.
Other times we produced arrows in their landing spots in surprising ways!
That turkey leg is made of wax and is "luscious looking"

WOMEN IN JEP
After the season wrapped it was off to the movies!! Well, North Philly to film CHRISTMAS DREAMS.
My first film as a props master and it was a doozy! For those of us who worked on the film, it was a labor of love, well very strong like, at least. Seriously, great production team, but 40 straight days of work with 20 days of filming was exhausting! Some pics of the behind the scenes stuff below:

More to come as the 2012-2013 theatre season starts up.....
